FIA Website Final Presentation

After all the preparations made since the beginning of our industrial training, finally the time had come for us to do the final presentation for the FIA website. We went to FIA very early before the presentation starts at 10AM in the morning. As we arrived at FIA, we were greeted by Mr Terry who came earlier than us. We thought that we will be having the presentation at the usual meeting room so we waited for the room to open. But soon after that, the FIA staffs told us that they had changed the venue. We never thought that the presentation will be held in a big conference room.

We took our places in the room and prepare the presentation slides as we waited for the others to come. Then Mr Sokhan, the FIA’s webmaster came and assisted us in inspecting the website. He asked us if possible to put the sound feature in the website. Our team member Apai, who is the one with the skill in Joomla! tried his best to find the way on how to put the sound and finally at the moment the others came he managed to do it. The staffs who came early also provided us with some titbits and fruits while waiting for the others.

Everyone greeted and introduced each other before the meeting started. Then, the Director General asked us to proceed with the presentation. We started out with introducing our team mates and continue presenting the slides. Using the slides, we explained the objectives of the new website and why we use the Joomla! application for the website. Then, we demonstrated the features of the website and compare it with the previous one. We explicated briefly each functions in the website.

After the demonstration, we continued with introducing the user manual for the website. We explained on how the FIA’s webmasters can use the user manual to help them manage the website in the future. The user manual will provide all the details on how to use the Joomla! application and update the website.

Lastly before we ended our presentation, we asked them if there are any questions. There were not many questions for them to ask, but we tried to give the best answers for them. We were very glad when the Director General said that he was very satisfied with our work and decided to use it in the future, but he wanted to make sure that his staffs know how to operate the website. We told them if there are any problems in the future, they can contact us directly and we will try to assist them the best we can.

Before we ended our presentation session, we took some pictures with the FIA staffs and the Director General. We thanked them for giving us the chance to do the project with them. After that, we went to Sarpino’s Pizza to have a celebration since the presentation at FIA concluded our practical training in Cambodia!
