Wet Market

Now I would like to share about our experience going to the market and and what we had already cooked at home within this 2 weeks in Phnom Pehn.We went to buy ‘ barang basah ‘ at Psar  Doeum Thkov with our owner house , Bong Manith. Its was very much adventure experience finding our groceries like fish , eggs , veggies and also chicken. The arrangement of the places in this market is almost similar like ‘ Pasar Tani ‘ at Malaysia but the different is the placement of the goods is not proper. For example ,  it is normal in here to see a fish and meat shop  and slippers and clothes both are side by side.Yeah , side by side. Sometimes you also might find haircut shop is beside veggies shop.I call it , ‘ asal bolehh menjual ‘ for the sake of their money living its possible for them. However you also need to be careful the dogs at the market. Dogs in here are lurking around like cats in Malaysia. You can see it almost everywhere you go.It is also  hard for you to find cats here.Dont worry , they are very tame and well behave with publics. So that weekend we managed to buy veggies , eggs , fruits and taufu as well as biscuits  for our home.Fish  in here mostly are river fish. Not from the ocean. It is more save cost if you buys groceries in the wet market  rather than supermarket. You can get almost everything for one week cooking less than $20.

This beautiful lady is Bong Manith , our lovely rent house owner.Person who always take care of us when very much needed. We love her so much . :)

I am suggesting those who ants to live here is to cooked their  own dishes .It does save the cost a lot rather  than eating outside.
