DINNER AT COLONEL’S HOUSE

Us with Colonel Adnan and his wife

On the evening of 22nd October, we were invited to meet Colonel Adnan HjAriffin at his office in Embassy of Malaysia for introductory between us. Colonel gave us some advices regarding the city of Phnom Penh while we are staying here until January 2014. He also informed us that on the next day, 23rd October a demonstration will be held for three days at almost all main roads in the city and advised us to avoid the crowd and stay home especially at nights for our safety. He also reminded us to be careful with our passports because of the increasing number of the infamous cases such as pick pockets, snatches and passport counterfeiting syndicate.
After that, Colonel invited us to have dinner at his residence and we had some chitchat and ice-breaking session afterwards mainly about our experiences while staying here.
Meeting and having Malaysian style home cooked meals with Colonel and his family made us realize how much we miss our families and home back in Malaysia. We are extremely grateful for the warm welcome they offered us.
