The Meeting 2

We had another meeting, and this time it was about the corporate video project for RUA. Actually we were preparing to capture some pictures for the video but we decided to have a meeting first before starting the project. Dr Seng Mom, Mr Lytour, and Mr Sovatna were present to discuss with us about finding the idea for the video.

At first, we all viewed some samples of corporate videos of other universities like KDU College, MSU and Lim Kok Wing University. Dr Seng Mom commented that the videos were great but too fast-paced. She wanted just a simple video which is slide-oriented containing all the important details about RUA. 

Dr Seng Mom showed us the RUA annual magazine and told us that it can become a good reference for us. There are plenty of pictures and details about RUA inside the booklet. The only problem is we need someone to translate it because everything was written in Khmer language. Luckily Mr Sovatna volunteered to translate it for us.

Mr Sovatna said that they don’t have enough video materials but they can provide us with pictures of events which can be use in the corporate video. They suggested that we use all the information they have to create just a simple video but plenty of contents.

Then we discussed about the story board for the video. Dr Seng Mom drafted the story board on the white board. The storyboard consists of the location of RUA, RUA’s history, organization chart, student activities, the university’s international activities, future plan and some salutations for the ending of the video.

We then ended the meeting and decided to start doing the corporate video after the Khmer New Year. Mr Sovatna was assigned to assist us in the project. He will help us by providing the information needed for the contents of the video. Hope that it will be completed in time. Godspeed!
