Greeting fellas.

This entry is specially dedicated to all reader of this blog that also happen to be MiiT student at the same time. If you're looking for a place for industrial training, then this entry is exactly for you!

Words reach our ears that MiiT currently looking for the next batch to come up here and continue the stories that being written here.
Application open to students of all course but preference will be given to those from BCSS, BNS, BSE and BIMD/BCAD. But fear not though, cause every application will be highly considered.

The requirement to be here are pretty much simple and not as strict as you thought it might be.Be sure that you have all of those below before asking for the form.

- High enthusiasm(*this is compulsory!).
- Willingness to learn.
- Able to work in team(leading or being lead).
- IT Technical Skills (a lil  bit of programming will do though).

see.? its pretty much simple isn't it? now let us explain some part of our task here since most of you will be wondering what will you be doing if you happen to land at Phnom Penh International Airport.

Cambodia is a growing country that in dire need of technology to help improve their daily life. however, they doesnt really have much expert in here to do it by themselves. thats why they'll be needing people from the outside to teach them on how to be better. we've done our part in helping Royal University of Cambodia in having 2 system for their library and academic affairs together with their website.

but there's still a lot more to be done! RUA will be opening an IT faculty for their next intake because of our present here. the financial department need to sort out their mess. Research department want to organize their records. and a few enhancement need to be done at the university facilities.
even if its over at the university, we still have the Ministry to work with. even we didnt had chance to settle up with them yet since we have a lot of matter to settle in RUA.

every single thing that you have learn in the past during your diploma or foundation or even your first two years of degree/diploma studies will be put into test here. cause these people specialized in agriculture not IT. so dont be surprise if they come to you and ask how to change the desktop wallpaper. so come on guys, these people need us here.

Now, if this still havent attract you yet(you must have no feeling if you havent feel anything yet. =p), let us briefly explain to you what MiiT have in hand for you guys.

MiiT will be covering the cost of few expenses in return of the high spirit shown by the student to succeed in their studies.

- flight ticket(return)
- visa(for approximately 4 months)
- travel insurance for each of you.
- house deposit(if you happen to rent a house here. otherwise you can opt to stay at the university's hostel).
- internal traveling(*subject to change).
- internet (*subject to change).

for the last two expenses is depend on the arrangement once you get here. Being informed by university representative that they can cover almost 50% of these two expenses. and of course, if you stay at the hostel, you wouldnt need for the transport to get to work everyday.

if your biggest concern is about not having enough money, let us explain the monetary part for our stay here.

we rent a house and a room here for $300 per month whereby MiiT paid for the deposit. To get to work everyday, we have a van that come for $500 per month. To minimize our expenses, most of the time we cook at home. just buy all the groceries from phsar(wet market) here, or get to the Thay Hout(Mart that sell groceries imported mostly from Malaysia).

rough estimation for one person per month that spend $5(too many already!) would be somewhere around $150 per month. we would recommend you to cook at home since it will drastically reduce your cost of expenses because the groceries here is very very cheap. other than that will be covered by MiiT.
if you sum up the amount, it will even cheaper that staying in KL.? =p

we already excited when writing this entry, so why not try it yourself. having your internship done outside of Malaysia will surely give 5 shining star to your resume that will benefit your future.
not to mention that you will have a very very very exciting experience here!~
whatever it is, being in here is one of the greatest thing that ever happened in our life. therefore we would be very happy to see others enjoying it too.
