Birthday Celebration at Embassy

Today ( 13/03/11 ) we were invited to attend a Birthday Party/Hi-Tea at Malaysian Embassy by Muizz. We preparing up at 2PM and then find a tuk-tuk for bring us to embassy. Unlucky us because its at noon and mostly all tuk-tuk driver is having a lunch at their home or hawker stall. We try to call few our commonly use tuk-tuk but sadly they all also busy. The temperature on Cambodia makes us a bit frustrated due to finding tuk-tuk. Luckily after few attempts to call for tuk-tuk one of them responded and rushing to our home to pick us up. Traveling in a noon with high temperature makes us sweaty but that's not gonna stop our planning to head to the embassy. While we heading to embassy we shortly discuss about our system progress to kill our time in the tuk-tuk. After arrived we going to counter for registering our name for coming in the embassy. At same time two muslim people also arrive and greet us. He introduce himself as Ustaz Saleh ( he is Malaysian. Teaching Islam at Cambodia ) and his Cambodian colleague Ustaz Fikri ( he went to Malaysia to study Islam at Kelantan and he also an Imam at Masjid Jame' Saad Bin Abi Wakkas Toul Tompong ). After finish registering our name we both heading to the Malaysian resident as the Birthday Party is inside the residential area. Our arrival was greeted by Muizz and his family. After that we heading to the backside of the house where the party located at. Then we greet each other get our self seat and then chatting with each other and some guess. While waiting for guess we taking some pictures and laughing while waiting for other guess arrive. At 4 PM the party start by short recital of doa by Ustaz Saleh. Then after singing birthday song for Muizz son Naufal, we ate some food that been served. Some Malaysian food are served like Curry puff,Roti Jala, Sate and Kuah Kacang, Cucur Udang, Popiah and some other desserts. We ate our food and listening to few stories from people that coming to this party. Also they share about their experience being in Cambodia. We also chatting with Ustaz Saleh and Ustaz Fikri about Islamic concern in Cambodia. We also discussing about the earthquake in Japan that impacting a lot to the country ( Pray4Japan ). Then after a while our stomach has been stuffed by the glorious Malaysian food and we planning to head home. After calling our tuk-tuk to pick us up , we say goodbye to everyone, and head back home and continuing to completing our task before our dateline. Once again a big thank you to Muizz for the invitation and Happy Birthday Naufal, may Allah bless you and thank you to the people in the embassy that treat us nicely.
