and again, we're invited to the embassy for another round of dinner. this time around, mr fadzil called and said the ambassador told him to invite us as well. we're informed to come before 8.00pm as they're going to have tahlil after maghrib prayer.
so we headed there at 7.30pm with Mr Mon(our tuk-tuk driver) and his
friend. upon arrival, we're greeted with warm smile from the security guard at the entrance. it was totally different from the first time that we're here. they were being very strict back then. as if we're going to tear the whole place down. but
now, not anymore since they've already recognized our faces.
in fact, they dont have to ask we're going. immediately they'll write it down somewhere in the logbook and just give us a go.
some of them even greet us in Malay! what a nice people that they have here. feel like being at home.
once we got in, they've just finished tahlil with the ambassador and started to have dinner. after shake hand and saying hi to everyone, we went up ahead to take some food.
what an awesome food that they served! there's 'ikan asam pedas', 'kari daging','kuetiau sup', some sausage and fries. served alongside with the main dishes were; cake, 'kueh buah melaka', mango and coconut pudding. and drink it all up with a glass of cold pepsi and 'sirap bandung'. yummy.!~
while enjoying all the delicious food, we chat around with everyone else. what an amazing dinner that we had. everyone were soo happy chatting and drinking, one glass after another.
until Datin(Dato Pengiran Hussein's wife) brought out the birthday cake for his husband. they said that she bake the cake by herself. then she must be very good in cooking cause the cake was soo amazing. having the shape of a golf course. together with a golf ball and the pole flag. it was very beautiful.
so everyone stood up and gathered around to sing Dato the 'happy birthday' song.they were soo happy. after taking picture with the cake, everyone waiting for their turn to taste the colorful cake. when they cut it out, the inside part looks like a watermelon! and guess what, they taste was even like a watermelon too. it was very sweet, yet still very tasty. we take a plate full of it. =P
while enjoying the cake, we chat around with the others. somes sitting down with mr fadzil and mr muiz. a few were busy laughin with Tuan Adnan(the kind hearted Colonel). and ladies with the ladies. mixed around like sisters.
what a wonderful night that we had. despite being away 600 miles from home, yet we had these wonderful people to keep us accompanied and make us feel like home.
thanks to everyone at the embassy for the dinner. we had lots of fun spending time there. meanwhile for you readers, enjoy the pictures from the night.
