Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), its finger lickin' good~
When we want to travel to another country, the first thing that comes through our mind is always the food especially for muslims, because we need to make sure that the food is halal. In Phnom Penh we can find many restaurants which serve halal foods. It was easy to spot one because halal signs were displayed outside the restaurants.
We would like to share about halal restaurants in Phnom Penh since we are staying here for quite a long time. We will continue to write some entries as a reference for Malaysian and other people that worried about finding halal food in Cambodia especially Phnom Penh.
When we first arrived here, the first restaurant we went is the KFC below Asia Hotel in the middle of Phnom Penh city near the Central Market (Psar Thmey). What made us surprised is that the KFC here are halal. There are many KFC outlets in Phnom Penh. Our favorite spot is at Asia Hotel, Sovanna Shopping Complex, Toul Tom Pong (Russian Market), and Pencil Supermarket.

Most of the menu here are quite the same as Malaysia's KFC except for some of it. The chickens taste just similar to Malaysia. Our preferred menu is the chicken rice which serves chicken, rice, pickled vegetables and fried egg for only $1.50. We can also add some gravy to give a better taste to the rice.

We will update more on halal foods in Phnom Penh. Please stay tuned!
