Cambodia is a place of wonder. If you know how to see things
with open heart than you can truly feel its charms. For some it might be
lacking comparing to others countries but it is how you made of things will
determine how good it will be to you. If the purpose of you coming here just to
endure it, finish up your internship period, get a good grade then move on,
Cambodia might not really suits you. You might just as well as doing your
internship in Malaysia but if you want to learn through some amazing experience
this is totally the right place. Cambodia can be a good teacher if you let it
be. It teaches you not to take things for granted, how to see good in
everything that you seem as bad and also patience. When coming here you should
open up your minds to everything. To the people who is terrible in English but
never mocked our attempted in bad Khmer, to the usual mode of travelling,
motodup and tuk tuk that makes you vulnerable to dust and dirts but it reveals
you the Cambodia that can never be seen through the interior of air-conditioned
vehicle, and to their food (just try the halal one please) which might seem
weird but is a taste you never had before. Leave all your arrogance thinking of
Malaysia is a better place and you might be humbled of what Cambodia can teach
you. So once you are here, greet everything with a smile and positive attitude
and Cambodia can be a quite fun place to live. This is just a little piece of
mind I would like to share with you and I hope your journey to Cambodia will
teach you as much as it taught me. Till next time.Bye.
