Introducing Royal University of Agriculture

On the following day (30/1/2012) we went for a visit to Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) with all the lecturers and senior students. We rented the Asia Hotel’s van for transport. It was raining that morning during our trip. It was about 20 minutes drive from our home to RUA. When we had reached RUA, we waited at the Rectorate building. There were us 5 students, 4 lecturers and 3 senior students.

Next, we were introduced to the Vice Rector Dr. Seng Mom and Mr. Lytour, the Vice Dean for graduate school. We started our meeting with them at the Graduate School meeting room. We discussed about the projects we want to do in RUA. In the middle of the meeting, our senior Bukhari showed us around the university area. We took a walk through the departments and classes. It was our first day so we had difficulties in remembering all the places. 

It was not so long until we join back into the meeting before it was adjourned. We all took some memorable pictures together before we went to eat at Cafe Malaya but it was full. The van driver suggested us to go to another restaurant, the Ah Man Restaurant at street 70. The restaurant provides Singapore-Malaysian dishes and the food was delicious as it suites our Malaysian taste.

Next, we went back to the hotel because we want to subscribe for the internet at Metfone near the hotel. Metfone is one of the internet provider companies in Cambodia. It offers the cheapest rate of internet compares to other companies. The service here was quite good and the process was easy. It took about a week for them to set up the internet at our home.

After we finish subscribing the internet, we went back to Psar Thmey for another round of shopping. We had listed some things we need to buy for our home. After we felt tired, we went home by taking a tuktuk. At night we cook and ate rice, beef and sardines for dinner. We slept early after an exhausting day, and wait for tomorrow to come..
