In the morning of the 3rd day, we went to the Fisheries Administration (FIA) for a meeting. FIA is a government subsector of MAFF, which supports the fishery industry in Cambodia. We met with their representatives, Dr Somany and Dr Sochivi and had a discussion with them about the projects that we will be doing here which are the websites for FIA and climate change and the food safety animation.
After the meeting, we went back to Asia Hotel and we had a talk with Sir Shan before they went back to Malaysia in the evening. After the short meeting, we parted and said our goodbyes. Thank you to all the lecturers and senior students for aiding us since the day we were offered to come here until now. We really do appreciate all your help. Thanks again!
Next, we went to have our lunch at the Cafe Malaya restaurant. Cafe Malaya is very famous in Phnom Penh. It serves halal Malaysian food in buffet-per-plate style. You can take the food as many times as you like using only one plate and each plate we use costs 4 dollars. Mdm Aruna and Man also joined us for lunch at the restaurant. The food was totally appetizing and truly satisfies our gastronomical needs.
Our next stop after lunch is the Wexport shop. You can find imported branded clothes such as Burberry, Abercrombie & Fitch, Bullhead, Levi’s and many more with cheap prices. After shopping, we had some coconut juice at a stall just a few meters away from Wexport. It was very pleasant to sip some refreshing coconut juice under the blistering Cambodian sun. We then got tired and went back to our house to end our day just at home.
That’s the end for the 3 days introduction. In the next entry, we will write about our first working day at the RUA and FIA. Thanks for following us.
