An evening at the embassy.

our day at the office surprised by a call from embassy. asking either we could come to the embassy to proceed with the registration. they said, its for the security purposes. just some precaution in case anything goes wrong. guess they've learned their lesson from what happened in Egypt.

but somehow, we didnt go to the embassy. instead, mr. fadzil said that he wanna pay a visit to our house in sangkat phsar deum thkov on friday. so he came over and had lunch together with us for that afternoon.
later on in the evening, we got a call from mr fadzil saying that we're invited to a bbq dinner at the embassy together with the diplomats and the ambassador himself.

what a surprise.!~ we're very delighted and eager to get going. we woke up early on sunday morning. wake everyone else up. and coincidently,  the house owner is doing some sort of renovation. building up a garage across the front area. so some of us tag along and help him up.

what a wonderful experience in being a construction worker, climbing over the roof, pulling off the rope, drilling up some holes. amazingly the garage was only built from a bamboo stick. not just the garage, that's how they build up stuff around here. from a small hut, until 3 storeys building. perhaps that's the least that they can afford to have.

well later on, we headed to the embassy. few of us went there early. mr fadzil requested for some help with the preparation. the embassy was such a nice place.!~ they got a main hall that include a badminton court. some area for futsal. quarters facing up to the riverside. what an amazing place.!~

moments later, few people start showing up. we get to met with a lot of people. some are from UM, the other diplomat staying at the embassy and some others that have stayed here for business purposes. we get along very well with those from the UM, been asking around how things going in phnom penh. they're surely an expert since they've been here for 3 years.

before we get back, we got a chance to chat with the ambassador and a colonel in charge here. they're very friendly. he advised us to learn and try to gain this wonderful experience that we would never have in malaysia. make us appreciate what we have back then.

yet again thanks to the mr fadzil and the others for inviting us to the bbq dinner. such a great time that we had. *we ate a lot too.!~ till then, enjoy our photo for the day. (^_^)v
